THE TWO GENERATIONS
Since 1934, two generations have guided the fashion house through the creation of a recognisable DNA, great successes, and the expansion of an international network.

1928
THE VISIONARY
Edoardo Caovilla, the company founder followed his vision. The desire to found his own fashion house, which was achieved in 1934, when luxury and fashion were an intuition for a few enlightened spirits, who believed in a better future made of dreams and emotions.

René Fernando Caovilla si lancia in una nuova sfida: elevare le proprie creazioni ad assoluti e riconosciuti gioielli, definiti “Oggetti d’arte chiamati Scarpe”. Un percorso imprenditoriale in cui si sono anteposti le persone e i loro valori, costruendo su questa visione un’azienda divenuta essa stessa un gioiello. Con la ferma convinzione, ancora oggi, che i medesimi valori debbano essere tramandati a figli e nipoti.

Over the years, René Caovilla has designed models that have become real emblems of modern femininity, one above all the Cleo sandal, conceived in 1969 that became a real symbol of the Brand, exhibited at the MoMa in New York in 1975. Galaxia came into being in 2017, a network of precious crystals with a modern design that immediately became an icon of style.
Since 1999, the company has focused on the openings of its single-brand stores, the first boutique is inaugurated in Milan, followed by Paris, Rome, Venice, London, Dubai, Doha, Taipei, Beijing, Sao Paulo and others opening in the main cities of luxury
Maison Caovilla was founded in 1928, in Fiesso d'Artico, a few kilometres outside Venice. It is here, in the heart of the footwear tradition, that Edoardo Caovilla opened his laboratory in 1934. In the 1950s, his son René Fernando took over the company. Through his creations, he would turn things to fashion. Thanks to his passion and incredible creative skills, the fashion house has managed to stand out internationally.
